HUNTING REPORT
| April 2, 2010 It's been pretty slow since the opener with the weather were having. Everything from rain to deep snow. We worked birds Monday just couldn't connect had several gobblers within 60-70 yards but just were not in the mood. Wed bad snow, very slow. Fri i had a no show so i decided to head up on my own. Weather was overcast little wind. I worked three toms first thing one came in with two hens and i watched him strut 15 yards in front, let him walk so a client could shoot him. 15 min later a group of 5 jakes shows up, done deal. The birds are really starting to come in good today, this all happened before 8am. I had not seen a hen yet this year. I counted 7 today on their own so the flocks breaking up. Out again on Sat & Mon, i will update then. |
