For Delta trips there's no need to start at o dark thirty as the stripers bite with the tide not the time of day. Incoming and Outgoing tides are both producing right now.

Delta Striper Fishing Hot Spots
The west bank of the Delta, Sherman Island, Franks tract and The San Joaquin River are all producing quality stripers while trolling in the Delta. The Stripers have been sitting shallow and deep, as the temps in the Delta heat up so does the Striper fishing.
